This poster was created to be included in director Ryan Nicholson's video box set. Within the image, horror aficionado's will notice various references to Nicholson's movies.
A few fine folks over at Saturday Night Live contacted me after I created my DJesus print for Gallery 1988 (see Exhibitions link). They asked me to create poster art for their new Wes Anderson horror parody.
Cut-Up Carmen was a collaboration with both Gallery 1988 and Topps card company. We were able to use any past Garbage Pail Kids character and redraw them to our style.
My artwork then was used for a limited edition, oversized sticker card.
This was a collaboration with AMC's The Walking Dead to make licensed prints. Unfortunately, they felt it was to similar to the comic and the idea was passed.
Regardless, I'm very happy with how they turned out, and this series is one of my favorites.
Salt City Horror
I was contacted by the promoter to do the artwork for an upcoming movie marathon. He wanted to call the event Hatchetfest, and for the poster to have a "band flyer" feel.
After doing some research, I thought a good reference to parody would be Iron Maiden's Killers album.
Salt City Horror
After i did the artwork for Hatchetfest, Adam Green (the director of Hatchet) enjoyed the art and promoted the event. A few months later I was asked by Salt City Horror to draw another poster, this time for a Adam Green and Joe Lynch's appearance.
Spoke Art/ The Castro
I was originally commissioned to create a movie poster for The Castro for Friday the 13th. After a few legal problems, the poster was sadly scraped.
This artwork was used on shirts as promotion for VHS company Vultra Video.
Syracuse Sci-Fi and Horror Garage Sale
The promoter of this event asked only for one thing, to reference Gremlins. It seemed a "garage sale" take on the original Gremlins poster work work well.
Artwork for the metal band, Torment the Vein.
